Candy for trick-or-treaters; Qmax for Knowledge Mosaic users

October 22, 2012

The time remaining until we deploy the next major release to the Knowledge Mosaic website can now be measured in days, not weeks.  We should be able to announce an official release date later this week; for now, suffice to say we expect the changes to go live around Halloween.

In our last post, we detailed some of the less visible upgrades we’re making to our SEC Filings page.  Today, we offer information about what may be the most far-reaching change to that search page, the addition of relevance-based search logic.  The change is underpinned by an entirely new search engine foundation called Qmax™.

Click here to read a Q&A document about Qmax, with answers to these questions:

  • What’s changing?
  • Why is Qmax good?
  • How is it special?
  • Will Qmax be harder to use?
  • What if I don’t want relevance boosting of my results?
  • How will relevance boosting work?
  • How will search syntax on the SEC Filings page change?
  • Why is Knowledge Mosaic making this change?

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at info@knowledgemosaic.com.
