Your tax dollars at work

The prestigious Ig Nobel Prize in Literature for 2012 was awarded to none other than the US Government General Accountability Office, for a report entitled “Actions Needed to Evaluate the Impact of Efforts to Estimate Costs of Reports and Studies.” The GAO earned the prize by issuing, as the Ig Nobel Committee put its it, a “a report about reports about reports that recommends the preparation of a report about the report about reports about reports.”
