Finding ICA Releases

November 2, 2010

On our Agency Materials search page, you’ll find both Notices and Orders under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Notices date back to 1994, and Orders to 2007. To locate these releases, select Agency: SEC and Dataset Category: Notices & Orders. Then select Investment Company Act Notices from the Dataset category.

Here’s the one little trick.  Even though “Notices” and “Orders” are two different things, the SEC nevertheless includes ICA Orders under the  Notices heading.  So we follow this convention on Agency Materials.  If you wish to limit your search specifically to Orders, include that word in your text search.

You can also use text searching to target, for instance, a specific company or specific type of exemption. Example: To find ICA exemptive orders under section 6(c), simply select the dataset as described above, and enter the text exemptive order “section 6(c)”.
