Most of us try to come through with flying colors. Airbus has announced that it hopes to do just the opposite by producing a transparent airplane.
The company reports that it would use “a special futuristic type of ceramic” to create a fuselage that offers “360 degree views of the world below.” In addition, these transparent fuselages would make for lighter, more efficient aircraft.
It sounds like Q has abandoned James Bond for a job at Airbus. It also seems lucrative to come up with a way of clearing cloud cover to guarantee passengers something to look at down below.
