Future Shock
August 31, 2010
For its 10th anniversary edition this week, the Chronicle of Higher Education solicited ideas from scholars, artists, and writers about what will be the “Defining Idea” of the next decade. Lots of interesting responses, including a succinct essay by Professor Daniel J. Solove of the George Washington University Law School, “Dizzied by Data,” about the challenges and opportunities presented by the unprecedented volume of information now widely available through technology. Worth a look.
